Kansas Kiko Meat Goats

 

Welcome to the Hohner Ranch, located in the rolling plains and grasslands of northeastern Kansas. 

 

      My name is Jane Cotter and my daughter's name is Gretchen Yanez, we raise commercial Kiko/Boer cross meat goats.

    

    We have feeder steers and a very tiny Herd of Longhorns.

      

    For seven years we have been searching

for the most adaptable breed of goat for hot

humid summers and cold winters. The Kiko

breed seems to thrive in this type of

environment.

     The Kiko breed is intelligent, has a 

docile personality, and they also make

excellent mothers.

      In October 2008 we purchased a

registered Kiko buck from Jerry and Becky

Barber, Diamond Acres Ranch, Yellville, AK.

     We are very happy with our 2009 kid

crop, sired with our new buck.
